The Prediction Engine

How Merlin predicts a campaign before you fund it

Merlin-MMA scores real buyer-psychology signals — pain, urgency, social proof, channel fit — into a Buyer Intent Score before a dollar or a post goes out. Then it watches what actually happens and corrects itself.

1

Predict

Real behavioral triggers, buyer segments, and audience demographics score into a Buyer Intent Score and a Predicted Conversion (or Engagement) Rate — before your client's budget is committed.

2

Execute

Across paid ads and organic social, that prediction becomes a real drafted campaign, ad copy, or post — ready for your team to review and launch, not a blank page.

3

Self-Heal

Once real results come in — real clicks, real engagement — Merlin compares them to what it predicted and recalibrates its own scoring. Every campaign makes the next one sharper.

Step one

What actually goes into the score

What is a Buyer Intent Score? A 0–100 score for how likely a specific offer is to convert a specific audience on a specific channel, built from four weighted signals: pain, urgency, social proof and channel fit.

Those four are not a metaphor. They are the inputs, they are weighted, and the weights move over time as real results come back. A score of 78 means something you can trace: which signals were strong, which were weak, and what would have to change to move it.

  • Pain — is the offer aimed at something the audience wants fixed now?
  • Urgency — is there a reason to act this week rather than next quarter?
  • Social proof — is there anything to make a stranger believe the claim?
  • Channel fit — is this the right message for this particular channel?
Step three

Then it marks its own homework

How does the self-healing loop work? Merlin stores every prediction, compares it to the real outcome when results arrive, measures the gap, and adjusts the signal weights that produced it. No manual retuning.

This is the part competitors cannot copy by adding a feature, because it is not a feature — it is a consequence of storing predictions in the first place. A platform that never recorded what it forecast has nothing to compare against.

  • Predicted 4.1% CVR, actual 3.4% — urgency weighting comes down
  • Predicted 2.8%, actual 3.9% — social-proof weighting goes up
  • Within tolerance — nothing changes, because noise is not signal

What it does not do

Is a prediction a guarantee? No. A prediction is an estimate with the data behind it shown. Merlin does not promise a result, and any platform that does is selling you something it cannot control — the market, the creative and the client's own operation all move.

What it does promise is that the number is traceable, that it was recorded before the spend, and that the gap between it and reality is fed back rather than quietly forgotten.
